Senior Omelette and Izzy Takes the Reins

Yesterday I went out with one of my favorite people. We were at Denny's, and she has recently joined the "over 55" group and is able to order from the Senior Menu. I did make fun of her a bit. When she chose the Senior Omelette I said, "What's that, an omelette where they forget an ingredient?". But the joke ended up being on me. I decided to order from the Senior Menu just to see if I could (I'm 10 years away from the Senior Menu status) or if I'd get "carded". The waiter didn't blink an eye. Of course, I'm making up all kinds of excuses - it was because he was in a hurry, blah-blah-blah. It can't be that I look 10 years older than I actually am ;-)

Big Izzy has taken over. Just when I think she's almost done she decides she wants a Little Red Riding Hood cape. I make her the cape and she says, "No, I changed my mind. What I really want is a little primitive doll to hold."

So being a people-pleaser (or is that a doll-pleaser?) I make her a little dollie to hold, making an inked face that is faded, staining it with a delicious staining solution by Vintage Primitives. So we'll see if that works for her. Sheesh. These creations sure are demanding!
