Paper Mache Update

Remember the big paper mache I've been rehabbing? Well, the picture above is where she's at right now. Earlier today her head was flaming read, her cheeks were rouged and she looked like a Miss Kitty in training (Remember Gunsmoke?). I put several layers of paint on her, and then put an umber wash over that. I need to go in and darken the eyebrow on the left or sand the one on the right a bit. The good thing about doing this is if I don't like the face I can start all over again and it will just fill in the crazing she had when I received her. Here's where she began...

Who knows where she'll end up. I'm going to let her rest for a while and think on it.

Thanks for the comments. I think I liked her with lighter hair, and somehow she's looking like a placid middle-aged woman. Hmmm. I wonder why that is?
