Another Work in Progress

I have given myself a challenge to make an Izannah doll without "scuffing her up" to quote a friend. I'm finding it very, very hard to do this. This little girl measures 11 inches in height. These small dolls take just as much (or more) time than the big girls I make. I put the spice can in so you can get a sense of scale.

Lovely. Little dolls DO take as much if not MORE time than the larger ones. My fat fingers don't do them well, but I perserve.
I so admire your work.

I love her being little!! But you are right, tiny things are very labor intensive. You cracked me up this morning about my bell jar and bills!! xxoo, Dawn (I can't wait to see her finished...it's going to be haaaarrrd to not distress her!! I love doing that too to my creations)

Hey Dixie! I empathize regarding your difficulties to not scuff her up...I too tend to make everything aged and "gritty"..it is my favorite part...But I also know how great a challenge can be. It is good to be stretched.

I have been working on my very first paperclay doll (see my blog) today and it is soooo fun! I have a feeling I will be doing many more. I want to go to bed so I can wake up refreshed and ready to do more...

Hope you are well. Bless you this evening.

Hi Dixie,

Wow, she is a beauty! I love her! I have a custom order to make a 6 inch Izannah doll. These little dolls are very difficult to make...Boy am I scared to start it.

I love your little Izzy! She looks like a sweet little girl!

Hugs,
Mithua

P.S. I tried recreating an Izannah doll from one of your original Izannah Pictures. You can stop by my blog when you get the chance.
