Off to the Strong Museum in Rochester

Next Monday my family and I are loading up the van to head from Maine to Rochester, New York, where the Strong National Museum of Play is. It's about a 12 hour drive from here. After reading the rave reviews, I am very excited to take my boys there. It is thrilling that a place that has 8 Izannah Walker dolls is also a great place to visit with my children and husband! Something for everyone. :-) They have a Sesame Street section, a Berenstain Bears section and much more. I'm looking forward to going to the Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden.

We have been on one major trip before as a family. Traveling with a child with autism has lots of challenges. My son is afraid of laser toilets, as an example. But we know we had a great time the last time even though a couple of moments were hairy. This trip will be great, too! We're driving, not flying, so we can stop when we want to, eat when we want to, sleep when we want to.

When I get back, I will write a detailed review of our visit there on the Izannah Walker Chronicles. I have a goal to visit all the museums that have Izannah Walker dolls in them. It might take me a while, but I'll get there!

Laser toilets are toilets that flush by themselves intermittently. So he can't prepare for the noise.

We will have a lovely time! We have the van packed to the gills!
