Getting the Big Picture Right

I sculpted this head before Christmas, in between baking cookies. I was looking at him the other days and noticed that his ears (which were quite nice in an Izannah kind of way) were wrong. One ear was 1/2 inch higher and further back on his head than the other. It is so easy to focus on details sometimes and not realize that you don't have the big picture right. We do this a lot in life - sometimes we can focus on details that don't really matter.

When I read my journals from my teen years I realized that I have now what I really hoped for then. It's a wonderful thing to see dreams come true, and prayers be answered.

The poor guy above has had an "ear-ectomy", but soon he will have some new ears and move on to getting a body and some clothes.

Happy Saturday!
