Thumbs Up!

Making thumbs for Izannah Walker dolls is time consuming and painstaking.  This morning I was up early and decided to sew these thumbs on.  These will get a coat of paint, then legs are next!

..........meanwhile, on the other side of the planet, in a different season and time zone and indeed a different day, someone is doing something very similar!

Those hands are so beautiful!!!
I had so much bother trying to stuff mine, and they look so clumsy compared to yours. Luckily the Helen Pringle "messy mix" covered up most of my mistakes...... I know that they say "practice makes perfect" but next time it's back to sculpted clay hands for me ;)

Looking forward to seeing what you're working on, Susie!

Practice helps us get better at everything. But I think that you have to put your time into what brings you satisfaction. :-) stuffing the fingers takes patience. Put a very very small threat of stuffing around your stuffing tool. Do a little bit at a time.
