"Christmas Izzy" has become a papier-mache inspired doll. I was using a picture of an original Izannah doll as a reference when sculpting, but apparently all the images of paper mache dolls I've been looking at is what came out through my fingers. I'm just going to go with it. I usually do an underdrawing on the painted doll. In fact, there's usually another doll face underneath the paperclay addition. I will gesso over the underdrawing and then gradually go in and keep things I like and change things I don't. We shall see.
We have a lot of snow here in Maine - yesterday morning it was snowing to beat the band and we got another 5 inches. I haven't seen this much snow in
years. It's beautiful, though, and if it's gonna be cold the kiddies may as well have something to play in outside.

ReplyDeleteOh...how I long to live in Maine....you get way more snow than we do here in our area of Vermont..We have snow..just not a lot..which is what I enjoy.
