Sure would be great to see a "re-visit" with lots of your dolls! What a fun idea, to go back and see where one has been. I do see the influences of those two types of dolls in her face, but also that "New York" doll, the one with the embroidered hair and face.Jan Conwellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12549461070806120320noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37220856.post-75063681215704374322012-05-17T13:46:50.674-04:002012-05-17T13:46:50.674-04:00She's lovely in her simplicity and coloring. ...She's lovely in her simplicity and coloring. It's very interesting to go back and see where we come from in our work. I don't have anything from my first forays into dollmaking, when I was inspired by Susanna Oroyan articles in Doll Reader. As soon as I found out there was such a 'thing' as a one of a kind doll artist, I knew that was pretty much what I wanted to do all the time. My sister does have my first two dolls I ever felt comfortable 'giving away', a pair of Native American dolls I did in sculpey in 1989, but I probably haven't seen them since the day I gave them to her.Robin's Egg Bleuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07940955157144789351noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37220856.post-43251495895031729162012-05-17T10:18:12.107-04:002012-05-17T10:18:12.107-04:00She's lovely.
