The Name Game

I've been tagged by my friend Greenie of Greeneyez2 for The Name Game. Using your middle name, make an acrostic using words that describe yourself! If you don’t have a middle name, use the middle name you would have liked to have had. When you are tagged you need to write your own blog post containing your middle name game facts and then choose one person for each letter of your middle name to tag. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

Well now. My middle name is Dawn. As in "Dixie Dawn". As in I've heard the song "Delta Dawn" get modified quite a bit in my life. ;-) This was much harder than I thought!

Design - I like to design things. It's not always dolls or folk art. Last week I was designing pants in my head designed specifically for plumbers...I think they're called overalls, though ;-) When my husband and I were first married I woke up at night for a storage plan for our teeny-weeny kitchen. It worked really well. I sometimes design things for others - I'm always evaluating processes, etc.. That's why my husband calls me The Roving Consultant. It's a gift ;-)

Aware - I tune in very much to others' emotional states and moods. I am usually monitoring lots of things on lots of levels. I like to encourage people, and so I try to stay aware of who needs encouragement. But occasionally I need to do this less.

Wishful - translate this to hopeful. I am idealistic, which means I'm wishing for things to be better. This can be good or bad, depending on the situation. Sometimes this keeps me from being thankful for the good that is right there, because I'm often looking beyond it for the ultimate goal.

Nesting - I enjoy creating environments. Sometimes they get away from me, though, because the creativity overwhelms my spaces.

Okey-dokie - so here are the people I'm tagging - all great designers of one sort or another.

Dawn at The Feathered Nest bcause her first name is my middle name and we both have lived in Georgia. And also because I chose the word "nest". And she has a wonderfullblog.

Denise from Wildthread Studios because her sense of design is so fantastic.

Wanda from Exuberant Color because she also has a wonderful sense of design, is kind and has a W in her name.

Annie Beez from Annie Beez Folk Art because she has such wonderful doll designs and I love her patterns. :-) And she's a great encourager!
