Happy New Year!

My big goal for 2008 is to have more fun - and what I mean by that is to practice a mindfulness of enjoying everything I do. If I pay attention, I can really find enjoyment in the mundane things of life - there IS something satisfying about getting the sink clean, the laundry sorted, etc.

Other goals -
  • finish the Izannah Walker pattern I began in the fall and sell it from my blog.
  • make some silly, whimsical creations
  • organize and renovate my office - it really isn't working as it is.
  • paint something red (the town?)
  • there are more, but I'll leave them for later

And now a break for our weather...

The above view is a satellite image of the Northeast at 7:38 a.m.

And ere's the view outside my back door.

Hard to believe this is the yard where we invited 50 people over for a picnic! That bench on the deck on a lovely summer day once held guitarists singing soulful songs. We are supposed to get 4-8 inches today, and more on the way tomorrow.

And here's a picture at noontime...
