Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes

I'm in one of those seasons of life when major changes are happening. And while they are happening by my own choice, I'm not especially a change lover. And yet I know that change often brings growth in life - or at least it has the potential. This week I resigned from a job that I've been doing for seven years. I know that while I have not always done everything perfectly, I have worked very hard and poured out my heart and soul in the doing of it. I suppose I'm showing my age, but here's a song by David Bowie that has been rattling around my head. I didn't really know the lyrics, but after I read them I thought of how appropriate they are. Now I'm off to the cellar to make a doll dress.

  1. Good luck on your new adventure in life Dixie! I know that you are also probably feling a sense of loss...I was laid off from my job of almost 7 years last May, when the company decided to shut our store down. It was a very strange feeling not working there anymore...and still is. I miss a lot of things about my old job, but mostly the people. Anyway, I hope that the future holds something better for you, and I wish you all the best. :)

Pop by my blog if you have a chnace...I'm holding a Valentine's giveaway!
