Dolly Update

From this angle I can really see the Izannah inspiration that is always there for me, even though I was consciously using a papier mache as a starting point. Do you see that white patch on her cheek? Well, this girl went on a little flying adventure (don't ask) and so she needed a little TLC and some repainting. It's okay, though, she's inspired by antique dolls which have seen been loved and love. I gave her a little more paperclay to fill the divet and then painted over her entire skin area. I'll need to repaint eyebrows and hair a bit, but not features (thank goodness!). Her arms and legs are being made today.

When I went downstairs to work today I saw a puddle of water right in front of my painting station. I thought #@$! and checked to see if I'd spilled a painting solution. Nope. The furnace is leaking. This is like the 3rd thing like this that has happened in the last month. When it rains it pours, huh?

Still, I'm going to work on this girl and get her finished up this weekend, as I have some other projects that need attention.

Okay, I lol when I thought of your doll taking a header of a shelf, then thought, oh my. Hubby and I run a heating business, it's our bread and butter. Not good when the boiler leaks....

Hi, Dawn -

I would have been happy to call you and hubby. We have a (ahem) "presidential plan" which means apparently they will get to you that day...but not until we had collected buckets and buckets of water. Oh, well, it's fixed now, yay!
