Antique 1903 Book: Mr. Sharptooth By Joe Kerr

I paid more than I should for this lovely old book,
but who can resist illustrations like this????

In addition to making a Little Red Riding Hood for the Maida Dolls Group Story Doll Challenge, I will make a Georgie and Mr. Sharptooth character for my own fun.

Hi, Dixie:
Don't you just love the colors in the graphics of the 1930's and 40's books? You just don't see colors like that today. I have a lot of Uncle Wiggily books and some others and I love them.
Hugs,
Susan

Hi, Susan - YES, I do! When you look carefully at these illustrations I can see that the colors are made up from successive printings of different colors - a little bit like pointillism. It creates some amazing color variations.
