Day 18: Why I Can't Focus on Art

Okay.  Let's just say I AM focused, but it has shifted right now.  And that's the way life is.  My first focus is my family.  So it is the end of soccer season and I have volunteered to do some things.  If I am going to do those things I can't do art.  I am finally at 50 understanding I can't do ten things at once.  I need to make a good crock pot soup for the concessions stand and here are my finalist recipes.

The good thing about this is I can use some of these recipes to help so that I can MAKE art rather than focus on cooking.

I think I might have to use the crockpot for supper tonight. Still working on the ten-doll wedding commission, and today I am painting arms & legs, and sewing dresses. (Unless I take too long at bathing/grooming dog, finishing three loads of laundry, weeding the veggie garden, and sundry other household chores.)

Don't worry about the art. It'll be there when you finish your soup, and your boys will remember your involvement in their lives.
