Izzy Ready to Travel

One of my customers very patiently asked me to make an Izzy a long time ago.  I said yes.  She's purchased work from me when I was a newer folk art doll maker.  She also purchased Elizabeth May Hope, an antique papier mache doll that I rehabilitated.  I appreciate that.

I am very, very slow.   She (the customer) has been a complete peach about it!   I don't take commissions any more, and this is one of the reasons why.   However, I worked hard in May to get this dollie done and I feel she is my best yet.  I like being able to say that.  It doesn't demean any of my previous dolls, just that I caught some Izzy-ness in this doll that pleases me.   And that pleases me when I'm sending this doll on to her new home.  Her new mama will name her.

  3. You know what I like about her? She has lots of "Izziness" but she also looks unique. And now she'll have a new home and be well loved her whole life.
