Half Way to 90

Today is a marker day for me. I am now (age-wise) half-way to 90. (1/2 of 90 = 45). I'm at that stage where you think about where you've been, where you are, and where you thought you'd be when you reached 45. On the one hand, I am not doing things I thought I would be doing by this age. On the other hand, I am doing things that were never in my sight-lines as a 19 year old taking the Myers-Briggs personality test. I remember when I was 18 and graduating from high school trying figuring out how old I'd be in 2000. And I thought that was positively ancient. Life has certainly unfolded some challenges and joys that have been huge surprises.

Here's what's happening outside my door - the most gorgeous spring day - a few brave spring bulbs blooming even while the stubborn snowbank is (almost) a memory. I've walked around the house looking at changes I want to make - some bushes to cut down that don't grow well where they are (either that or the deer eat them). Yesterday I ordered some seeds from Johnny's Selected Seeds for planting. Painting Mrs. Brandywine got me hankering to get my hands in the dirt. I haven't had a garden in a few years so I'm looking forward to green beans and tomatoes.

I've been working on making a new banner. You can see it above. I can't figure out how to resize it, though. It keeps coming out HUGE when I try to post it in an auction template. Well, that's it for now, folks, from the hopeful middle aged woman.
