I bought this little paper mache head back in April as a birthday gift to myself. :-) She's been patiently - ever so patiently - waiting for a body. I had a few days to myself this past week (that in itself is a gift!) and was able to slowly but surely make her a body.

I had been procrastinating because I wasn't sure I could get the proportions of the body right. Plus I was cleaning out my workroom. ;-) The friend I purchased the head from gave me some guidelines and I did the best I could. The shape of the legs and feet aren't quite right. This is the second set of legs I've made, the first were way too skinny. I probably will make a third set of legs.

I may make her a third set of legs, but for now she's as happy as a bee in an orchard of blossoming apple trees just to have arms and legs again. And she's told me she definitely wants a red dress. I think the sprigged cotton will make her a fine dress.

Red is definitely her color! She has a very sweet face, don't you think?

She is clearly a "THINKER" and you have already done wonders with her coloring and the fabric :)
