Granny's Words of Wisdom...

Today my mom and I went out to lunch and "rammed the roads" as they say in Georgia. Mama was born and bred in Georgia, first in Hazelhurst, and then in Screven. When we go out, we usually split a meal (cuts on calories) and then off we go to my favorite fabric haunt. Today I was telling her about walking through the corn maze and how I wrote about it on my blog. A few minutes went by and then she turned with a twinkle in her beautiful greenish hazel eyes and said, "Blog THIS." I waited, wondering what we were in for and here's what she said,

"It's hard to kiss the lips
that knaw on your rear all day."

Except rear wasn't the word she used. I admit I edited her saying for Blogland. I told Mama that I was actually going to put her words on my blog - she asked for it. :-) And I am an obedient daughter. But I only post quotes from family when they say, "Blog THIS." The rest of you are safe. ;-)
