Jane DesRosier's Cloth and Clay Doll Workshop

NOTE - Since I wrote this I have developed a pattern for an Izannah Walker Doll. For those of you who already have experience with paperclay over cloth it's been a great class. Now, back to the post I originally wrote.... Smiles, Dixie

=====================================

I received the following email asking how I make cloth over clay dolls....
Dixie,

.... I've been an admirer of your Izannah Walker websites for a while. I was just looking at your Northdixie Designs website. I love the "buggy eyed" Izannah doll that you're working on. Would you be willing to share any of your paper clay techniques with me? ...
The key to using paperclay is experimenting, and finding what works for you. In the fall I will be offering an online Izannah Walker Workshop. But the main answer to the paperclay questions can be answered by clicking on the banner at the top of this post. Jane DesRosier's Cloth & Clay Doll Workshop, which is a steal at $40, has tons of great information about sculpting with paperclay over cloth. Jane's teaching technique uses great videos to show how to make the cloth and clay doll featured. The techniques you learn there could be applied to many other kinds of creations.
