My latest creation, Abigail,
is inspired by wooden dolls
of the early 1800's.
She is made from a furniture
finial with paperclay additions.
She is mounted on an antique
rolling pin which is then mounted
on a dowel and stand.

I've designed her so that the dress
and arms of the doll are removable,
so she can be presented as a primitive
figure or as a wooden inspired doll.
She is painted with many washes of
quality artist's paints, and is scuffed
and sanded here and there to give
her an aged appearance.

Her dress is made from a wonderful
reproduction fabric. I think Abigail
would look wonderful in a home
all year long, but especially during
this holiday season.

where she can be purchased.
Merry Christmas!

Bravo Dix!!! I Truly Love her beauty and simplicity, yet she's intricate. I love the idea of how you put her arm 'in' the dress also!!! Thats thinking outside the box for sure!
