We got a quote for painting and figured we would need to paint every 5 or so years. When we compared that to the price of siding with vinyl, we knew it made sense for us.

We started off with a gray dingy, mildewy paint job. We went through a lot of color options, and we finally did decide on the barn red with cream trim and dark, dark green shutters. I was going to go with safe yellowy cream but my husband said, "Won't you always wonder what it would have looked like in red???" He knows me well.

What a beautiful transformation! It's all looks wonderful, but I especially love the barn style garage doors. I'm so glad that you went with red!
