I Have Friends I've Never Met

Closeup of ear with molding paste added.

I have friends I've never met. I think I've said that before, but it's true. Two of those people are Jackie Hendricks and Ike Putney. They graciously and kindly tested my Izannah pattern during the holiday season. Now that is friendship! Jackie makes some of the truest Izannah head sculpts I've seen, and Ike has loads of experience with doll making and pattern design. I had a list of people who had said they would test the pattern, but I was too embarrassed to ask them to test the pattern in mid-December. But I swallowed my pride and asked Jackie, and Ike volunteered when I sent along the pattern for her to look over. They gave me honest feedback which improved the pattern. Click here to see the lovely Izannah sculpt Jackie has going using my pattern.

The body of the pattern is in its final form. I have a few tweaks on clothing and then will compile the tutorials from the hundreds and hundreds of pictures I have taken.

Thanks to all of you who have signed up for the workshop - I am confident you will learn something about Izannah Walker's dolls that you didn't know and that in making up the pattern you will learn something, too. We are going to have fun, because I know that many of you who have signed up are fun people!
