After checking out a few decorating blogs, and seeing a a post about Summer Table-scapes, I rolled my eyes. I see the beauty and art in a table-scape, but right now I hear vocalizations because the peanut butter is "DISGUSTING". Apparently it's a little off. Who has time for table-scapes? My boy with autism has lost his schedule. He loves schedules. And I, by association, love schedules, too, now. If you parent a child with autism summer can be difficult, as written about eloquently by Sunday Stillwell.
Having said that, one of the decorating blogs led me to this post which I think will be important for me to pay attention to this summer. Emily at Chatting At the Sky wrote about Ten Ways to Make Art in Less Than An Hour. I think I can do that. And go to the lake as much as schedules allow.

My favorite tablescape? Piles of fabric all over the dining room table. Well, that's my story & I'm sticking to it.
Bless your heart...Dixie, I truly have no idea what you must go through. I raised four kids but they all took off and have their lives now. Table-scapes always sort of cracked me up. I'd love to be able to FIND my table under all the stuff we pile on it.
I came home with a nice thrift shop tablecloth a few weeks ago. The husband took one look at its intended recipient, and said "Seriously?"
Enjoy the lake.
Oh this photo is s pretty!!
