Nester is talking about authenticity and blogging.
How authentic should a blogger be?
Should I share that while I was waiting to pick up my son from school I was eating BBQ potato chips while reading People Magazine's article "Half Their Size!"? This article is about people who lose half their size. I found last year's issue of "Half Their Size" tucked away between Real Solutions for Real Kitchens and clippings of dream gardens.

I love it when people are real. That's why I like Nesting Place But I want your opinion:
- What does authenticity mean to you?
- What do you enjoy about authentic bloggers?
- When does authenticity cross the line and become something else?

Authenticity means true to who you are. For some people, that might be chatting about their bbq chips ... for others, it might be spilling about their addiction to reading the dictionary. It's just about focusing on who you are and not trying to be someone else or changing yourself to who you think people want you to be.
I enjoy authentic bloggers because I know what to expect from them - - so if I like them, I pretty much always like them.
Authenticity is essential unless you're writing fiction.
Thanks for commenting, Catherine and Maddy. You saved me from "crickets". ;-)
Just back from AZ...
I enjoy blogs that ramble from topic to topic once in a while, blogs that illustrate Real Life instead of Perfect Life, and blogs in which the writer expresses but does not constantly rant.
Yours is one of those blogs. :~)
