A Weekend Away in Portland

My sisters and I went away last weekend for fun in Portland to celebrate my turning a half century in April.    The last time I was away without kids was in March of 2011.  Not that I'm keeping track  ;-)  Did we have fun!  We stayed at a hotel in the Old Port section so we could just walk out our door to all the shops and restaurants.

We didn't intend to shop, but who can resist a balsamic vinegar and olive oil tasting bar? This was a great cooking supply store.  We did end up buying a bottle of wine to take back to the room.

The rest of the weekend was rainy, so you know what that means...

We had a great time.  I have great sisters.
They are all smart and funny and creative in their own ways.

Happy Birthday Dixie! Our friends in Boston tell us how much they enjoy Portland. Watch the next ten years don't go by quickly.....is happening to me in about a year and a half! Seemed I just turned 40! LOL!

Hi, Sue - I know what you mean. It seems like I just turned 20. :-) One thing I am learning is to enjoy the moments. Or I'm trying to learn that!
