The Last Week of Summer

At 6 a.m. There was a chill in the air at the lake.
The dock will get taken out with a new generation helping.
And then this coming week school will start.

Beautiful picture Dixie! I always regreatted the end of summer knowing it mean't getting back into a more structured routine with the kids. Your picture brings back fond memories I have of summers at Porter's Point camp on Lake Champlain with my kids back in the 70' and 80's. Thanks for sharing, :~)

Judi - we are so lucky to have this place to go to. I am thankful for the place and for the memories with family.

We still have weeks and WEEKS of hot weather down here, if you get tired of cold. :~) That is one of the most beautiful, peaceful pictures I've ever seen.

Jan - I love autumn. I don't even mind it when it's chilly. Until it gets TOO cold. All the snowbirds are getting ready to go south.
