My son has a new person working with him. While I was working in another room I could hear her saying to him, "You can do it. I know you can!" It made me think of the people who are the "You can do it" people in my life. I'm thankful for those people. I have quite a few projects where I need to say to myself, "You can do it!" to myself. These are do-able goals for me, not brain surgery. They just need to be worked on in lots of steps.

I think that I am much better at telling people "You can do it!" than actually doing what ever "it" is at the moment myself..something I need to work on for sure..:)
I hear you!!!
That is a really large book of music behind them...wow. ;~) My mother was a fabulous You Can Do It person for me when I was growing up. She died when I was 29, but by then had already instilled in me the belief that I can do anything if I really buckle down and work at it. Once in a while I need a reminder of that, but for the most part, I owe her a great deal of thanks for the confidence she instilled.
Jan, isn't that wonderful? What a lifetime gift to give.
I can always hear my Grandmother saying to me " You can make one yourself ! " She could just make dolls and toy animals ,making it up as she went along . Every one of these toys would be a "one off " She has been my biggest inspiration in my life ...sadly gone now ....but I can still here her whispering to me "You can make one yourself !" ooh..I just shed a tear !
