Do you know Buddy Miller's music?
This heart-felt song above was written by his wife Julie Miller. Julie Miller's writing cuts to the heart and soul of a matter, separating sinew and bone.

I am a decent back-up singer. Since I quit my job which involved singing at least twice a week I am doing a lot of back-up singing in the car to the songs on Universal House of Prayer. I am sure that Buddy appreciates it ;-) Actually, if you go watch the video at the link above you will see Buddy Miller has some perfectly wonderful back-up singers. But it would be a joy and wonder to sing backup for real on this song.
Buddy Miller is a gritty alternative artist. I see that a lot of my favorite songs from the CD International House of Prayer are co-written with his wife Julie Miller or with other artists. Definitely a great songwriting duo. If you are still under the rock that I crawled from a couple of years ago, come on out, the music is fine.

What does this have to do with making paintings and folk art creations? I don't know, but I think I should make a painting listening to this CD.

PS I bet you are a great back=up singer...don't quit singing in the car or it will get hard to find your voice again...at least that is my experience =)
