What I'm Working On...

This girl is getting arms and legs and a dress. the head is made from furniture finials that I added paper clay additions to. It is mounted on an antique rolling pin minus the handles. She may get a different look. We'll see. :-)

She's looking very cool, Dixie. I wanted to pop over and tell you that I'm sending your "ornament" today (I do not advise that you hang her/it on your tree!). I also noticed on your profile that you read "The Known World" and liked it. Wasn't that a fabulous book? I read it a few years ago when I lived in Oregon (bought it at Powell's in the Portland airport -- that's how I remember where I was when I read it. I believe it won the Pulitizer.

I also thought I saw a picture of you last year at the Atlanta Doll Show. Can that be right? I will be "showing" there this year ... so if you're there, be sure to come and find me!
