Ten Minute Pincushion and Izzy Update

After knocking over
the pin cushion below
for the 100th time,
I decided to make the one above.
I'm calling it my 10 minute pincushion.

Goodbye unstable cutesy heart pincushion.

I used:

circle of felted wool from a sweater
of a family member I want to remember

candle holder turned upside down

stuffing

strong thread

I ran a running stitch
around the edge of the circle
with very strong
nylon upholstery thread
and then pulled it tight
so it gathered over the wooden circle
with stuffing underneath.

The sweater had a pocket,
so I cut around that closely
and pinned it to the pin cushion
as a holder for thread and thimble.

A new pack of pins
and I'm ready for action.

Below are two Izzy candidates...
I am still making decisions between
Body #9 and Body #12,
head #9 and head #13
Thigh #3 and Thigh #5....

Decisions, decisions!

Have a great day!

The new pincushion is so great! Doesn't knock over and I can always find my thimble. Yay for change!

Thanks, Jackie and Christe for your encouraging words. :-)
