Build Your Own Furniture?

Don't tell my husband I've been looking at Ana's Knock Off Wood website. My husband and I have a very short experience building our own furniture when we first got married almost 25 years ago. I was in love with (and still own) a book called Decorating on the Cheap by Mary Gilliatt. And did I ever have ideas! Let's just say that I have a mind that works like Ana's but my results were so-so. It's not really my husband's interest area either. Finally my husband said, "Dixie, can't we just go to the store and buy a real couch like regular people?"

Shhhhhhhh. Don't tell him I'm reading Ana's site. Because I've got plans - real plans that Ana supplied me with. Oh the things I can make now. And luckily for my husband, all Ana's designs are touted to be built "without a husband". Ana has designs organized into Beginner (that's me), Intermediate, and Advanced plans.

Sounds like my kind of site! And that picture of the bookshelf looks exactly like the ones I have that desperately need replacing! Thanks Dixie ♥

It's a very cool site. I feel like I could build anything looking at the plans.
