When you can't wedge another book on the bookshelf, or another pattern into the pattern box, you know it's time to clean out. I try to do this on a yearly basis, partly so I can find some hidden treasures, and partly so I can take stock of my direction artistically. Here are things I will either be listing here on my blog, or perhaps on Ebay. All of these things I collected because they brought me joy or informed me in some way. But I will be sending them on the next steps of their journeys, because I have identified some needs that are worth cleaning out for.

I was cruising through an antiques mall, thinking about whether I dared, whether I could do it, and that is when this doll came into my life. A possible Babyland Rag Doll - She came with an antique dress, bloomers and petticoat, some vintage/antique shoes she got along the way. The poor dear has lost her face covering, but the shape is still there. She is 30" tall, and easily would wear small child's clothing. She's old, and has foxing, and is a bit musty, and someone painted her fingernails at some point. Not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. But she would be great in a primitive decor where someone likes a bit of whimsy.

Cloth Paper Scissors Studios magazines - Fall/Winter 2008, Spring/Summer 2009, Fall 2009, Spring 2010, Summer 2010...These are very hard for me to let go of, but there's an irony to it, too, when you can't wedge any more stuff in your studio because you have magazines about other people's studios!
