A Variation on the Clothesline
My New Drying Rack

Usually I paint limbs and dry them before I attach them to torsos.  I used to try and put pushpins through the top of the limbs into the wooden shelf.  But they would fall down and I would speak strong language.  So here's my new solution - a variation on the old fashioned clothesline.   I got the necklace on clearance.  It hangs from hooks screwed into the shelf above my painting station.

Then I put safety pins on it so that I can hang the drying doll parts from the necklace.  The beads keep the limbs from sliding into each other on the string.   I'm pretty proud of this solution!

A lot more colorful than my method! I have Ikea shelves that consist of six rounded metal bars that you can hang hooks from anywhere. I dangle my limbs from the hooks but have been using straight pins. Duh....safety pins are better and it didn't even enter my mind!
