Early Map Inspiration

I can't stop thinking about this map that was in the summer edition of Antiques and Fine Art.   It's fueled all kinds of thoughts and ideas for artwork.  It is owned by the Old Economy Village.  This charming map made me think what a town of my own design would look like.   Hmmmmm....a painting inspiration, maybe?

That sounds very interesting Dixie and I would love to see what you come up with! I just love finding something that fires up my imagination and letting it carry me into a whole new creating avenue.
Have fun with the new idea, I'll be waiting anxiously to see where it goes!

Oh I love old maps like this...everything about them. I "collect" them framed for my husband--whether he wants me to or not. :~) Can't wait to see how you work it into your painting.
