Above are two girls from a different family line from Sangerville, Maine. These girls appear to be sisters, and looks like mama (or grandma!) worked hard in making them matching dresses. Note the protective arm the older girl has around the younger.
I have no idea who this girl is,
or what she is holding.

This boy above
seems uninterested
in the picture taking process.
He appears to be
between 8 years old and 12.
"I could be fishing!"
his look tells us.

Very plainly dressed family,
with the exception of some
crocheted lace on the baby.
Parson's family, perhaps?

I love your photos. I always like to study the clothing in old photographs. I love the eyes of the little girl in the top "Sangerfield' photo-she'd be a great model for a doll.
Which ever you choose, I'm looking forward to your doll.
The disinterested boy has the most interesting expression to me, funnily enough. Don't know what kind of doll he'd make but he'd certainly be unique! :)
What a beautiful collection of photos, how telling their expressions, love it! Love the Sangerville sisters so different.
I too LOVE the expression on the boy, priceless! Makes me smile.
wow Dixie!! You sure have alot of great old pictures!! :o) I wish I had a scanner that worked, so I can scan some old family pictures! Very excited for the new challenge!! :o)
So much inspiration here...wonderful old photos..."people who lived and dreamed and loved." It will, no doubt, be a hard task to choose just one.
I do love the photos, and even if I don't know the people you can sure spend time thinking about how their lives were and what became of them. Sure draws you in.
