Looking at Old Family Tintypes Again

The next inspiration theme for the Maida Dolls Group is to make a doll inspired by an old photo or postcard. This had me looking through some of my own family tintypes.   Many are not marked so we don't know who they are.  But there are some sweet, sweet images.  I took one of the Butman photos and cropped and edited it with Picmonkey, which is very much like the now defunct Picnik.

I'm not sure this is my inspiration photo, but it's fun to look at them.  Here are others from previous posts. All these photos are people who lived and dreamed and loved.

Above are two girls from a different family line from Sangerville, Maine. These girls appear to be sisters, and looks like mama (or grandma!) worked hard in making them matching dresses. Note the protective arm the older girl has around the younger.

I have no idea who this girl is,
or what she is holding.

This boy above
seems uninterested
in the picture taking process.
He appears to be
between 8 years old and 12.
"I could be fishing!"
his look tells us.
I have such a boy.

Very plainly dressed family,
with the exception of some
crocheted lace on the baby.
Parson's family, perhaps?
