A Visit to the Fairfield Antiques Mall

On Monday, I went down to James D. Julia's to document a 27 inch Izannah Walker Doll.  I posted about that on the Izannah Walker Chronicles.  It was a very different experience seeing a very large version.

Afterward, I took some time to poke around in an antiques mall up the road from the auction house.  It's one of those kinds that has stairways that go to everywhere.  While I was there, I took a bunch of pictures of things which caught my eye.

This image at left is of a stairway in the antiques mall.  I took because it reminded me of an abstract painting.  I think life is full of designs that seem happenstance. The little bit of yellow up at the upper right is what makes this whole composition. Otherwise it would be boring and static.

Here are more images, in no particular order:
Look at this face!  Doesn't it make you smile?

You know I had to look.

Two antique shops parted ways which were connected, literally.

I immediately thought of Laura Ingalls Wilder.

Looks like Bobby Moynihan from Saturday Night Live

Yours truly.

I love old cast iron.

Sticker Shock!

All of these images were taken at the Fairfield Antiques Mall in Fairfield, Maine.  In case Bobby Moynihan wants to buy that old picture.  ;-)

I don't live too too far away from Skowhegan and I didn't know about the Fairfield mall. Sheesh. Now I have to go!
