Image in the Sidebar

I've been writing this blog since 2006. Fifteen years. When I started, I used to write every day. Facebook/Instagram siphoned traffic away from blogging. People don't read them like they used to, unless you share the blog on Facebook, Instagram, etc. And it's easier to share content on those sites. But something was lost with that process, too. A sense of personal story, which gets lost in the constantly scrolling feed.

Anyway. In the sidebar was a picture of me which I took in 2012, I think. I was modeling a hat I bought made by a fellow artist. My hair was a little more salt and pepper then. I want to change it out, because it doesn't really look like me now. (Life happens!). But Blogger doesn't make it easy. Here's the sidebar picture as it is now.

We all get older, and life teaches us lessons.

My hair is mostly silver now.
I'm starting to look more like my Granny (far left).

I probably will use the picture below from 2018, though,
even though I was heavier then.
It relates more to my being an artist.

There. I think this is more accurate.

All the photos are beautiful, Dixie. I love the old family picture--those are precious, aren't they? The picture with the little girl and her dolls; did you notice the one doll on the left with his hand raised? I wonder what his question is. :~)
