Sometimes I think I should rename this blog. Northdixie Gets Distracted Again! has a nice ring to it.
This past summer I decided I would learn how to play the Ukelele. What I really did was store my kind brother-in-law's ukelele at my house for 6 months.
I am weeding through my wants, musts, can dos and can't dos again. There are a lot of metaphorical ukuleles in my life. It's time to return the ukuleles and focus on what my life really has room for doing.

A friend told me he could teach anyone to juggle in 45 minutes. 2 hours later I had to return' my ukulele'!
I understand completely!
Good luck finding them all, but remember to keep a scrap book of all the ukulele's you wish you had time/energy/motivation to play. We might live a lot longer than we think!
Instead of playing it, just listen to this guy's ukulele playing while you make a doll. He probably can't make dolls. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puSkP3uym5k
True enough! Ukeleles for all!!!
I'm not sure where I got the idea that I have to learn *everything*. ;-) It's a great idea to just appreciate someone else's expertise!
Dixie, I am exactly where you are now. You have inspired me to be at this point. I am cleaning closets and stuff and deciding where I want my precious time to be spent. Thanks for the encouragement. I was once told and I believe that I was a learner first in my character traits. I believe that and it gets me in trouble.
I think this will be a lifelong process for me. I really like learning new things. But I want to go deeper in some things I've already studied.
